The first man through to the final at the 2024
Bahrain Darts Masters has been confirmed and it is
Luke Littler, after a 7-3 victory over
Gerwyn Price.
After his sensational nine-darter in the semi-finals, Littler again started strongly in this one. Price was keeping touch though and thanks in part to a brilliant 124 checkout, it was all-square at two apiece in the early stages.
It was Littler who secured the first break of throw in leg 6 and in typically scintillating style too via a 170 checkout, to nudge clear 4-2. With another ton-plus checkout in leg 7, this time a 103, the 16-year-old led 5-2 at the break.
Although Price was in the ascendancy in post-break, the Welshman missed a handful of darts at double with Littler punishing via an 89 checkout on the bull to move one away from victory. Although Price pulled one back, victory was Littler's 7-3.
