Much to his delight, Luke Littler saw his favorite soccer club Manchester United earn a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Newcastle United on Wednesday night.
It was an important victory for "The Red Devils," which therefore still keeps a chance of qualifying for European soccer through the league. The winning goal was scored by Rasmus Hojlund, who celebrated his goal by placing his finger to his lips while cheering.
A screenshot of this cheering gesture was used by Littler to tease fellow darter and Newcastle fan Chris Dobey. Dobey was tagged in the message, adding the emoji of the cheering gesture Hojlund made.
A response from Dobey was not long in coming. 'Hollywood,' who is in the same management as Littler, responded via Instagram Stories with four middle fingers in the direction of his compatriot.
Recently, Littler also harangued Liverpool fans when the Premier League Darts visited the English port city. However, Littler responded by using his hands to refer to Liverpool's 2-0 defeat in the Merseyside derby against Everton. As a result, Liverpool all but forfeited their Premier League title chances.
Also on Monday, Littler came up with a tease via Instagram Stories. The Englishman shared his gloating over archrival Liverpool's draw against Aston Villa. ''Villa away is not for everyone,'' he alluded to the fact that Manchester United had won 1-2 at Aston Villa earlier this season.
