Luke Littler had to miss Manchester United FA Cup final due to safety fears

Luke Littler was forced to watch the cup final of his favorite football team Manchester United at home in front of the TV. For the sake "of his own safety," he was unable to watch live as "The Red Devils" won 2-1 over arch-rival Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

The 17-year-old teenage sensation is a big United fan and had previously said he would be going to Wembley for Saturday's match with Man City. Moreover, Littler was already in London last week as the final of the Premier League Darts was played there on Thursday. There he convincingly defeated Michael Smith and Luke Humphries to claim the title.

He was expected at Wembley to cheer them on jesting in media about going covert to avoid hoards of fans. Just before kickoff, however, Littler revealed that he was not at the home of English football for the spectacle as feared he would be harassed by fans in attendance.

Littler, who was visiting Manchester United's training complex in Carrington in January, told his fans via Instagram Stories that he had made the decision "for my own safety." Littler posted a photo of the match on his television and said, "At home watching the game for my own safety today,'' the reigning Premier League champion wrote.
