Luke Littler made a startling prediction that came true with his nine-dart finish at the Premier League Darts in Cardiff as his reply to a comment from referee and spotter Owen Binks was found.

Littler beat Nathan Aspinall, Rob Cross and Michael van Gerwen as he sealed his third Premier League Darts nightly win of the season. He saw off Aspinall 6-3 before he dispatched Cross 6-2. This in turn set up a tie with Michael van Gerwen.

But this is where the fun really began as in the final of Night Seven, he hit back-to-back 180's leaving him with 141. He pinned it albeit not going the route which many expect as he went for a T20 with T17 and Double 15 for the first time on TV.

Binks said: "Spotting again tonight. Are you going T17 D15 again on 81 just so I know?"

Littler responded: "My nine darter in Leicester was 60-51-30 so take a hint." This referencing his perfection in Leicester at Players Championship 5 and he did go that route.

The route of 60, 51, 30 as Binks also jibed him saying: "Understood. Just be sure to not to come inside on the D15."

But it was more about play-offs for Littler speaking to Emma Paton on Sky Sports. "I just want to get to the O2 [for May's play-offs] as quick as possible," he said.

"I have put myself in a really good position and I do want to finish No 1. I was happy with my doubles tonight but there is plenty more to come."

Part of that though is no European Tour this weekend with Littler snubbing that for a weekend off. He said he didn't pick them up between the Premier League weeks and won't until he next plays it seems in Newcastle.
