Luke Littler appears relaxed in the build up to the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship. The 18 year old world champion was seen on Monday evening, the day before his first match at Alexandra Palace, attending an away game of his favourite club, Manchester United.
The Red Devils were playing away to Wolverhampton Wanderers, who sat bottom of the table with just two points from 14 matches. Littler, a well known United fan, was picked up by Sky Sports' cameras midway through the second half, sitting in the away end. Manchester United themselves also posted a photo of Littler on their social media channels.
It was the first time The Nuke had attended an away match of his favourite club. On his own Instagram account, Littler shared several photos from his visit to Molineux Stadium. “First away day. What a result,” he captioned them.
It turned out to be a good choice from the 18 year old for his first away trip. Although the first half was a little sluggish and the sides went in level at 1 1, United ran away with it in the second half, sweeping Wolves aside for a convincing 4 1 win. The result lifted them up to fifth in the table, close to the coveted Champions League places. Wolves, meanwhile, stayed rooted to two points after yet another defeat.

Online criticism

There was also heavy criticism online over the fact Littler was seen in the away end. The 18 year old had managed to secure a last minute ticket through Adidas, which sparked frustration among other United supporters.
“Are you kidding? Thousands of people are sat at home and he gets a last minute ticket? Ridiculous,” one reaction read. Another said: “How did he get a ticket? I’ve applied for every game all year and get absolutely nothing!”
Littler ended his post by saying: “A few more days to relax and then it’s time for the World Darts Championship on Thursday.” As the reigning world champion, The Nuke will traditionally play on the opening night, 11 December. He will face Lithuanian player Darius Labanauskas in the first round.
