A cafe will rename a breakfast dish in honour of darting sensation Luke Littler after he visited them earlier this week prior to winning the Grand Slam of Darts.
Littler defeated Martin Lukeman 16-3 in the final and he fuelled up on baked beans on toast with extra scrambled eggs. Albeit the owner was surprised he didn't order a full english.
The dish though will now be renamed 'The Luke Littler'. Owner Jenny Barrett of Truffles in Ironbridge in Shropshire said that the WhatsApp group was set ablaze and while he wanted to be left alone on the whole, he did pose for some selfies and took time to speak to the staff.
Albeit with his fame, he was also accompanied by beefy security guards. The staff though said he was a 'nice guy' and 'down to earth' on his visit. It seemed to do the trick as he went on to seal the title in rampant fashion.
He will now be one of the favourites for not only the Players Championship Finals this weekend but also the World Darts Championship which begins on December 15.
"Nobody recognised him until one of our staff members who works in the kitchen came out and said, 'Luke Littler's just come in!," said the owner of the cafe in which Littler visited to BBC Shropshire with photos accompanying of the visit.
"Some of our staff members were able to get a couple of photos," she continued saying that they kept it off Facebook to avoid people then descending on the cafe and to reserve his privacy.
"He wanted no trouble at all. We kept it off Facebook for a bit so he was able to just have his breakfast in peace.
"[We're] quite honoured, really, because there's a few cafes up and down here [and] they chose us."
