The first Quarter-Final is set up at the
German Darts Grand Prix with
Martin Lukeman set to face
Martin Schindler after both broke new ground in Munich this afternoon.
Lukeman faced Keane Barry and continued his exceptional form and progression during 2022 by reaching the Quarter-Finals of a
European Tour for the first time.
He sealed a 6-5 win over 'Dynamite' who had benefited from a bye due to Gerwyn Price withdrawing to reach this point but saw 'Smash' come from 4-2 down to seal a deciding leg victory.
But it won't get any easier for Lukeman in the Quarter-Finals as he faces home hero, Martin Schindler who like his opponent has had a terrific 2022 so far.
This was underlined with one of his best displays in his career so far as he dismantled Ryan Searle 6-1.
He produced a stunning 109.2 average and 66% on the doubles and with a nation dreaming of a next star coming through the ranks, 'The Wall' could be set to break through and bring them that.
