Darts sensation and Manchester United fan Luke Littler has given his opinion on Erik ten Hag during a guest appearance on Ariel Helwani's MMA Hour show.
The 17-year-old Littler has called on the bosses of his favourite football club to give Ten Hag longer time at Old Trafford. According to 'The Nuke', Ten Hag is still the right man to lead the team. Recently, Ten Hag picked up his second title with 'The Red Devils' by defeating Manchester City in the FA Cup final. Ahead of the cup final, rumours were already circulating in the that Ten Hag was going to be sacked regardless of the result of the final. For now, these rumours have not yet become true but Louis van Gaal was previously sacked under similar circumstances.
Littler believes Ten Hag deserves another year to prove himself. The Premier League champion indicated that United's previous managers had been given little time to achieve success, he stated in conversation with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour.
He will play in the US Darts Masters this weekend making his New York debut so will do the rounds around the media after his spectacular rise to fame. Helwani is well known for becoming a darts fan after the incredible World final between Michael van Gerwen and Michael Smith with the nine-darter that circulated around the world.
"I want him to stay no matter what. Even if we lost," said Littler on The MMA Hour.
"If you look down the line of managers we've had like Louis van Gaal who won the FA Cup and then got sacked after a season, I think Mourinho's the only one who had two to three years. David Moyes, he only had ten months.
"So I just think we [should] keep him. Because we're getting these managers for a year or two and they're not doing anything. So if we give them time things might change. I like what he does. Just give him time. Give him next season and if he doesn't do owt, let him go."
