Michael Smith wants to turn the tide back in Premier League: ''My game is not far off from being where it should be''

Michael Smith was leading the league table after the first two nights in the Premier League Darts, but after three disappointing weeks, 'Bullyboy' has dropped to fifth place.

The Englishman lost in his first game each of the past three nights. "The last few weeks I just haven't been at the races," Smith admitted to pdc.tv. "I've been missing doubles and starting games slowly, but it's a marathon not a sprint, so there's still a long way to go and plenty more points to play for.''

The first opportunity to regain points is Thursday night in Brighton, where a clash with Peter Wright awaits. 'Snakebite' is still without points in Premier League Darts after five rounds of play.

"My game is coming back. It's not 100% where I want it to be, but it's not far off from being where it should be'', Smith added. "I've not won for three weeks, Peter's not won at all yet, so it's a game we'll both be relishing, but I feel I have to get the win tomorrow to kick-start my Premier League."
