On Tuesday, darts manufacturer Winmau came out with a new Michael van Gerwen shirt. It was a black tenue with gold accents, designed because of a special occasion.
It was five years ago this month that Van Gerwen announced his partnership with Winmau, which is responsible for the Dutch dart player's equipment. To celebrate the five-year partnership, Winmau has released a merchandise line that includes a tenue.

Van Gerwen will play at the Winmau World Masters this week on a one-off basis in the anniversary shirt. So the iconic apple green shirt will remain in the closet. "Green no? Not for this tournament" Van Gerwen said on Winmau's social channels. "This tournament I'm going to play in this shirt as a celebration especially for this occasion."
The three-time world champion is pleased with the design of the new jersey. "I love it. The gold in combination with the darts. For me it's perfect," he said with a laugh. On Friday night, Van Gerwen will play his first match at the Winmau World Masters. He will then play one of the winners of the preliminary round played on Wednesday. The main tournament consists of a total of 32 players. The top-24 of the world ranking list is already sure of participation in the main tournament.
It's time for a switch up ⚫💛
