Michael van Gerwen races through but Gerwyn Price and Michael Smith stunned in round 2 of Players Championship 12

With Players Championship 12 continuing to motor on in Hildesheim, Germany, both Gerwyn Price and Michael Smith have been stunned in round 2.
For Price, Dutchman Jitse Van der Wal proved too strong, taking a 6-1 win over the Welshman, who recently returned to tournament winning form on the latest stop off for the World Series of Darts. Smith meanwhile, was forced to exit at the hands of George Killington 6-3 in his second round tie.
Elsewhere, the likes of Nathan Aspinall, Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright all kept their hopes of Pro Tour success alive. See the full list of results and the draw for the last 32 down below!

- It seems odd that at the World Championship they have dancing ladies in hot pants and pom poms and yet the walk on ladies who were much more elegantly attired get removed from the scene. I met Daniella at Silverstone when she was a grid girl in the F1 race and was very pleasant indeed.
