Ahead of the PDC World Championship, we take a look at some statistics as to who is the player with the most matches played at the showpiece event.
This is of course
Phil Taylor whos mark of 121 will likely not be eclipsed any time soon and it is Raymond van Barneveld who sits in second who will of course play his last ever game/s of professional darts at the World Championship who has 54.
He will likely finish in second of all time for now unless Adrian Lewis who is tied with him does better than him at the Alexandra Palace.
There are many players on the list who are either retired or not on the PDC Tour at the moment from Dennis Priestley in fourth to Kevin Painter in seventh all the way down to Andy Hamilton and Dennis Smith down towards the bottom.
It shows the real staying power of certain players but also the changing of the guard almost that these players' efforts are now being eclipsed by the new crop of talent.
Michael van Gerwen currently sit in sixth with 46 and could go into the top four with another title win on New Years Day.
