Geert Nentjes claimed an immediate return to the PDC Tour on Monday with victory on Day Two of European
Q-School.
Nentjes saw off Boris Koltsov in the final and called it a ‘big relief’ to back up his initial defeat to Geert De Vos in the final match on Sunday by going one better.
"It's a big relief, I'm very happy," said Nentjes. "Yesterday losing the final, I was a bit nervous today coming in [knowing that I] need a few points more so I'm happy to win it straight back."
On playing Koltsov and the Russian not playing at his best, Nentjes added that he wasn’t focusing on his opponent and it worked out.
“I had a tactic, I wasn’t looking at his scores, just playing my own game. I don’t know what his game was like and it worked out for me.”
En route he claimed a semi-final win over five time World Champion, Raymond van Barneveld: "I was playing him and thinking that I want to beat him now so that when I play him on the ProTour I know can beat him, so it's a bonus for me to win against him."
