Nicholson claimed the overall honours on Friday and he continued on with that trend defeating Raymond van Barneveld to make it five consecutive victories.
'The Asset' did so with a 95.7 average and a high checkout of 158 en route and it marked the fourth win over the doyen of Dutch darts this week with it being the only one that has seen Barney win more than two legs.
He was excellent on the doubles hitting 5/9 (55%) and will next face Mark Webster who lost out in his first match of the day to Andy Jenkins in a 5-2 defeat.
Speaking of clinical doubling, 'Rocky' has been excellent all week and he showed that against the former Lakeside World Champion winning 5-2 with a 91 average, two 180's but most importantly of all 62 percent on the doubles. Could it be a final day win for 'Jenks'?
