Noppert sets up MvG clash, Justicia joins in the second round

Danny Noppert beat Richard North 6-4 to progress to the second round in Saarbrucken.

The Finder Darts Masters champion has progressed for the third time in his European tour career and now faces an all dutch battle against world number one Michael van Gerwen.
Both men hit 66.67% on their double attempts, and despite having a lower scoring average, it was Noppert who used his chances to his advantage to wrap up the match.
Jose Justicia followed that up by becoming the last man into round 2 from the afternoon session after defeating Luke Woodhouse 6-4 in round 1.
The Spaniard had a significantly lower average but made the most of his double attempts to defeat the young Englishman. Woodhouse missed at least one dart at a double in every leg after leading 4-3. Three legs on the trot wrapping up Justicia's first win on the Euro tour.
