Beau Greaves has started the year incredibly and leads the Challenge Tour, Development Tour and Women's Series all concurrently. She makes her UK Open bow this weekend and Matthew Edgar and Abigail Davies believe she is to be feared.

Greaves is a popular player with darts fans and so those at Minehead who are often some of the most clued up darting fans will want to follow her journey believes Edgar and that she has the tools to make life difficult for the established names.

"She's playing so well and we've seen her play on the ProTour now and that great game she had with Josh Rock. She'll have her hands full here with Stefan Bellmont, quality player. Number 1 v Number 2 on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit, semi-finalist on the ProTour recently," said Edgar on Love the Darts.

"Beau is going to be one of those that is feared, supported well by the crowd. People are going to want to see that journey unfold and has the capabilities of actually winning the tournament."

Abigail Davies who has seen Beau's rise on the Women's Series first hand commentating on some of the tournaments said that it is the best thing to happen to her in regards to not getting her Tour Card.

As well as that the intrigue is also there for what she does in regards to the strong chance she will get her Tour Card at the end of the year and also qualify for the PDC World Championship likely thrice if she tops all three secondary Order of Merits.

She has often in the past snubbed Ally Pally due to the rules which dictate she can't play in both WDF and PDC and has often favoured winning World titles at Lakeside.

"For me, Beau Greaves we're always excited to watch her play. Her action is absolutely beautiful but we were saying last year that she needed the Development, Challenge Tour to help elevate her game. The Women's Series is good to keep her ticking over but in many ways she has outgrown it. I've watched a number of her games on DartConnect on the Development and Challenge Tour, she would've convincingly won them had they been Women's Series. She wouldn't have needed to problem solve."

"She's constantly learning something about herself and having to push herself further. I think her missing out on a Tour Card is the best thing that could've happened to her this year. She's now currently top of Challenge Tour, Development Tour and Women's Series which means she will get all these opportunities to play on the ProTour whilst also being able to play on the secondary tour."

"It's going to be interesting as there's a very strong chance she gets her Tour Card this way and then what happens when the World Championship rolls around (referencing the snub previously for Lakeside."
