Eight more players have a chance to win the overall title at the 2023
New Zealand Darts Masters in Hamilton, New Zealand. They will battle it out Saturday morning and early afternoon to see who will run away with this World Series title.
Former world champion
Gerwyn Price is once again in arguably the headline encounter, facing off against former UK Open champion,
Danny Noppert. It is also a clash between the two players with the two highest averages in the first round.
The winner of the showdown between Noppert and Price will play either Jonny Tata or
Rob Cross in the last four. Tata caused a surprise by eliminating two-time world champion Peter Wright.
On the other side of the
schedule,
Michael Smith and
Damon Heta face each other in the third quarterfinals.
Haupai Puha is the second New Zealander to appear on stage in front of his own crowd. After his shock against Dimitri van den Bergh, he now gets the chance to surprise the brand new World Matchplay champion
Nathan Aspinall.
How much prize money is to be won?
The prize pool for this event contains a total of £60,000. However, the prize money won prize money does not count toward the PDC Order of Merit or other money rankings.
All participants are guaranteed £1,250 in prize money. This amount could eventually rise to a sum of £20,000 in prize money for the winner.
