The Paddy Power Perfect Challenge will return on Tuesday 25 November with last year's challenge being one to remember as it was won by Shaun Murphy for snooker albeit one more thought of due to the excellent back and forth between The Magician and Michael van Gerwen and Luke Humphries.
All three will return for the new edition albeit there will be more darts players than last year. It was only Humphries and Van Gerwen who attempted it last time around with the Perfect Challenge seeing three sports come together to find out what is the easiest or hardest.
It won't be stopped from the 10am start point until perfection is reached twice. Last time Murphy went 2/2 on a 147 and settled the debate albeit was left a bit red faced as he said that he'd hit a nine-dart finish before and scored poorly when asked to reproduce it leading to hilarious jibes from MVG and Humphries.
As well as the duo from last time, it will be Gerwyn Price, Jonny Clayton, Nathan Aspinall and Damon Heta who will attempt the challenge with darts having more scope than any other sport. In snooker, it will be Shaun Murphy, Kyren Wilson and Luca Brecel. While hole-in-one is also a category and Matt Wallace, Ross Fisher and Robert Rock will attempt that.
While players hit nine-dart finishes easily in practice it proved to be a bit of a war of attrition last time with Humphries and Van Gerwen unable to hit one, this despite darts unlike in years gone by being a sport where nine-dart finishes are more common place. It all takes place tomorrow on social media but will darts win out this time?
