PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter gives World Championship update: "We're working very hard with Alexandra Palace to deliver the event potentially with a crowd"

With the World Championship very much round the corner, a venue and the potential for a crowd will have to be revealed soon and for PDC Chief Executive, Matt Porter, he is not ruling out the usual Alexandra Palace with a crowd.

Porter said on a personal level that he has been to events as of late at the venue which have been mainly comedy and said that it showed a potential sign of things to come.

"Yeah, I mean we're working very hard with Alexandra Palace to deliver the event potentially with a crowd, you never know, we're not ruling it out.

Alexandra Palace have staged ticketed events and are doing ticketed events at the moment for comedy. I've been along to one of them with out Head of Security.

It was very well organised, it was a safe environment, people were very respectful of the environment and it was relatively normal. The tables were a bit further spaced out than you might normally see."

"It's definitely not something that we've ruled out."
