The seventh tournament weekend of the PDC Europe NEXT GEN 2026 season took place in Sindelfingen. Events 13 and 14 offered two different formats for the participants: While Saturday featured an FA Cup-style format with group play followed by a knockout phase, Sunday’s schedule showcased the special 170 format. Here, each leg does not start at the usual 501, but at just 170 points.

On the oche, Daniel Klose and Jaimy van de Weerd put their stamp on the weekend. Klose celebrated his fourth NEXT GEN triumph of the season on Saturday and produced the major highlight with a nine-darter in the final. A day later, van de Weerd prevailed in the special 170 format to claim his second title of the year.

Nine-darter in the final: Daniel Klose lifts fourth title of the season

Daniel Klose capped his strong PDC Europe NEXT GEN season on Saturday evening in Sindelfingen with his fourth tournament win of the year. The former Tour Card holder first dominated his group and won all three matches. Klose dropped only a single leg overall and advanced confidently to the knockout phase.
The path then became noticeably tougher. Right at the start, Klose engaged in a hard-fought duel with Patrick Klingelhöfer, which he edged 4-3 in the decider. The second knockout round also went the full distance: Against Kevin Kuhn, Klose again held his nerve to win 4-3.
In the last 32, the German rediscovered his early dominance. He gave Finn Prokop no chance in a 4-0 win before defeating Michael Hurtz 4-2 in the last 16. Klose was even more impressive in the quarterfinals: With a 101 average, he cruised past Tim Scholz 5-1.
Klose also stayed in full control in the semifinals. Against Marc Spalt he registered another clear 5-1 victory, averaging 96. That sealed his ticket to the final, where the highlight of an already successful tournament day would follow.

On Sunday, the stage belonged to Jaimy van de Weerd. The German came through at the 14th event of the season in the special 170 format to celebrate his second NEXT GEN title of the campaign. In the final, he beat Lenny Schlüter 11-7, meaning Schlüter finished runner-up for the second time this weekend after losing Saturday’s final to Klose.
Van de Weerd had already underlined his ambitions in the group stage. He won all four matches to start his tournament day perfectly. Even after the switch to the knockout phase, the eventual champion was never in serious trouble.
Van de Weerd opened with a 10-6 win over Florian Müller, then defeated Bastian Sienkewitz 10-5. Sebastian Steinmetz could not halt him either in a 10-7, before van de Weerd swept past Marcel Steinacher 10-4 to reach the quarterfinals.
There it got a little tighter against Finn Behrens, but van de Weerd held firm to win 10-8. He then turned down the tension again in the semifinals and booked his place in the final with a solid 10-5 over Deniz Baudis.
In the final, he faced Schlüter, the freshly crowned PDC Development Tour champion. Van de Weerd won 11-7 to complete a tournament day in which he took every match. To finish, the German checked the remaining 32 with two darts to seal his second NEXT GEN title of the season.
