After finishing the final tournament weekend of the NEXT GEN 2024 last weekend, the PDC Europe has now announced the list of participants for the PDC Europe Super League 2024, which will be played in Hildesheim from Nov. 5 to 8.
The PDC Europe Super League has a total of 30 participants, divided into five groups of six players each. The top three players in each group and the top number four advance to the knockout stage. The winner can look forward to participating in the World Darts Championship.
The field of participants consists of the top 16 players in the 2023 PDC Europe Super League, the top 10 players on the Next Gen Order of Merit and the four highest ranked selers on the Next Gen Youth Order of Merit.
Among last year's top 16 were Dragutin Horvat, Kai Gotthardt,
Liam Maendl-Lawrance,
Nico Kurz,
Niko Springer, René Eidams and
Max Hopp. Through the Next Gen Order of Merit, Franz Roetzsch, Michael Unterbuchner and Patrick Tringler, among others, have forced placement. Tringler is the first Austrian to compete in the PDC Europe Super League.
There could be another change if Springer qualifies for the World Darts Championship via the Development Tour Order of Merit. The darter from Meenz, Germany, is currently in a good position to qualify this way. The final Development Tour tournaments will be played on Oct. 12 and 13 and it is likely that more details will be announced after that.
