PDC Order of Merit update: Nathan Aspinall rises to world number 6 after second European Tour title of 2025

Nathan Aspinall’s red-hot form on the European Tour has seen him shoot up the PDC Order of Merit, climbing three places after lifting the European Darts Open title in Leverkusen.
Fresh from his earlier triumph at the European Darts Trophy in Göttingen, The Asp made it back-to-back titles with another strong showing. He saw off Bradley Brooks (6–4), Ricardo Pietreczko (6–3), Chris Dobey (6–5), Wessel Nijman (7–6), and Damon Heta (8–6) to claim the £30,000 top prize.
That win moves Aspinall from world number nine to number six — a timely boost ahead of a crucial part of the season. But his spot in the top 10 could soon be under pressure. Aspinall is set to defend his World Matchplay title in July, and with £200,000 in prize money from last year to protect, anything less than a deep run could see him tumble down the rankings — potentially even out of the top 16.
There was also movement for Damon Heta, the runner-up in Leverkusen. The Aussie climbs two places to a career-high world number eight.
Their gains came at the expense of Rob Cross and James Wade. Cross, a winner on the Euro Tour in late May two years ago, drops three places to ninth, while Wade slips to tenth after losing two spots.
Elsewhere, changes inside the top 64 were minimal. Jermaine Wattimena moved up to 32nd, nudging past Krzysztof Ratajski. Wessel Nijman overtook Mickey Mansell to go 42nd, Matt Campbell leapfrogged Keane Barry into 53rd, and Alan Soutar edged into 57th ahead of Robert Owen.
