Recently the PDC announced the brand new format for the Premier League Darts with a tournament every week for the eight players involved but no names were announced.

From the initial poster, it could be inferred that Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright, Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton would be involved but after the PDC broke tradition in terms of announcing the line-up after the World Darts Championship final, the pondering continues.

That won't be for too much longer though with PDC President, Barry Hearn revealing on Twitter that it would be announced after The Masters (January 28-30).

But as pointed out on Twitter, this won't leave those involved too long before they have to start playing with February 3, the current start date in Cardiff until the play-offs in Newcastle on 26 May.

Bazaar owns the PDC lock, stock and barrel so he can enact any whim he desires. Usually involves the World top four so thats Smith, MVG, Price and Wright and realistically no one would leave them out as they are box office though it would not surprise me if Price had thoughts of not playing. Depends on his contract. As Woman’s Matchplay winner Sherrock could be gifted a place, Great promotional tool for inclusivity and promote women in the sport and lets not forget it is an invitational promotional event, there’s no qualifying criteria or is it ranking.
