PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit Update: Luke Littler passed by Dutch rival as Josh Rock still leads

Gian van Veen has passed Luke Littler on the PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit. Van Veen is now number eight on the Pro Tour ranking, the ranking on which the results of Euro Tour tournaments and Players Championship events over the past 12 months count.

The difference between the reigning World Youth and World champion is 1,500 pounds in favor of the Dutchman. Van Veen is the second Dutchman in the rankings with an eighth place, as Michael van Gerwen is currently fifth on the Pro Tour Order of Merit. In between is Ross Smith in sixth place.

Leading the rankings is Josh Rock, who earned £175,000 at Euro Tours and Players Championship tournaments in the past 12 months. Martin Schindler follows behind in second place with £170,000. The top four is further completed by Dave Chisnall and Stephen Bunting.

Gary Anderson is still in eighteenth place after winning the European Darts Grand Prix. The Scot is further ahead of top names such as Luke Humphries, Mike de Decker, Gerwyn Price and Wessel Nijman.

Through the Pro Tour, players can qualify for the televised tournaments. At tournaments such as the World Matchplay and the World Grand Prix, in addition to the top-16 of the world rankings, the sixteen best players of the Pro Tour ranking are also invited. The same applies to Euro Tour tournaments, while the top-32 at Players Championship tournaments have protected status in the draw.
