PDC UK Q-School 2025 - Jim Long breaks Welsh hearts and takes final outright PDC Tour Card with dramatic final win over Kelvin O'Keefe

The fight for Tour Cards and PDC UK Q-School 2025 has gone right down to the very last throws. In a dramatic all or nothing final for Kelvin O'Keefe, the Welshman was beaten by the experienced Canadian Jim Long 6-4.
O'Keefe came into the day on 0 points having not won a game in the Final Stage. On Day Four things clicked though as O'Keefe defeated the likes of James Beeton, Kai Fan Leung and Adam Lipscombe to reach the final. For Long meanwhile, his Tour Card was already secured by merely reaching the final, having done so with victories over John O'Shea, Andy Boulton and Tom Sykes among others.
In a scrappy opening to the final, the opening two legs had missed darts aplenty. In both though, O'Keefe was the man to eventually hit the double. With the next few legs going with the darts, O'Keefe maintained a two-leg lead at 3-1. Again Long held in leg 5 to get back to one behind, then breaking to get back level at 3-3. O'Keefe broke straight back to nudge into the lead again at 4-3 before the momentum swung again with the Canadian levelling at 4-4. That seemed to finally knock the stuffing out of O'Keefe as Long moved one away at 5-4. Moments later victory was sealed for Long and O'Keefe's hopes were over.

- Is this the start of an attempt to say that he (Littler) is the best ever as he has won most money. Perhaps adjust all prize money earned by allowing for inflation. If Littler gets close too (does not even have to overtake) both MVG’s and Taylor’s Major titles total then he is in the conversation. Indicates to me that the prize money is skewed to much towards the top players, meritocracy must rule but a fair distribution of the money is needed otherwise its only ever about a select few.Mysstree09-01-2025
