PDC Asian Champion, Christian Perez has impressed for most of this week at Q-School after deciding not to play the Bahrain Darts Masters with the allure of Milton Keynes decided over it.
Now he is closing in on a PDC Tour Card and joining the elite 128 after reaching the Last 16. This brings him onto six points alongside Conan Whitehead and currently Mark McGeeney.
But unlike the European Q-School, it is far from cut and dry. Andy Boulton, Nick Kenny, Callum Goffin all remain a semi-final away from sealing a spot and knocking McGeeney at least out.
Ryan Harrington is currently out of the spots too but he will hope for a Dylan Slevin outright win or Christian Perez which would see him take one due to them dropping off the Order of Merit.
James Howard Hughes, Prakash Jiwa, Adam Smith-Neale all need to win theirs outright while Mike Warburton is the only player who can also go into the spots by reaching the final.
