Peter Wright sees off Michael van Gerwen to set up quarter-final clash with Gary Anderson at Players Championship 5

With victory, Wright sets-up a blockbuster Scottish clash with Gary Anderson. Anderson won 6-1 over Daryl Gurney thanks to an average of 113.97.

Also the quarterfinals, Raymond van Barneveld will face James Hurrell. Hurrell was surprisingly 6-4 too strong for Joe Cullen. Danny Noppert also qualified for the last eight. 'The Freeze' triumphed 6-3 against compatriot Jeffrey de Zwaan and will battle Stephen Bunting for a spot in the semifinals.

The remaining quarterfinal is between Ross Smith and Cameron Menzies. Smith edged William O'Connor 6-5, while Menzies dealt with Jonny Clayton (6-5).
