Players Championship 20 Results, Last 32: Price and Wright continue to impress, Justicia dumps out White

The last 16 line-up has been confirmed at Players Championship 20 and it will see the likes of Peter Wright, Gerwyn Price and Rob Cross all through but joined by surprise names including Jose Justicia, Christian Kist and Jan Dekker.
Justicia dumped out number one seed Ian White. The Spaniard edged out 'Diamond' in a 6-4 win which saw him put in yet another good performance to average just shy of 100.
Wright and Price were superb in wins over Matt Clark and Dirk van Duijvenbode with both players averaging 103. Adrian Lewis also came through a brilliant clash with Luke Humphries which saw an exhibition of scoring from 'Jackpot'.
Kist continued his roll by taking out Dave Chisnall having previously seen off Gary Anderson and Dekker who hasn't had a great run on the ProTour for quite some time eased past Mensur Suljovic.
With it being a mix of surprise names and well-known players, it will be an interesting conclusion to today's proceedings at Barnsley Metrodome.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024

If you want to see crowd passion... watch a match when German and Dutch players face off... that can be just as bad if not worse for crowd noises.
