Players Championship 21 Results, Last 128: Suljovic, Smith and Whitlock all through to second round

The first round of action at Players Championship 21 is complete with the likes of Michael Smith, Mensur Suljovic and Simon Whitlock successfully navigating their first clashes.

Smith had a tough first round tie as he took on Dutch legend, Raymond van Barneveld but he came through in a 6-5 victory. Suljovic smashed through Yordi Meeuwisse in a 6-0 whitewash win.

Whitlock edged out the promising German, Christian Bunse in a 6-3 win. There were also wins for the likes of Jamie Hughes, Krzysztof Ratajski and birthday boy Ted Evetts.

Ian White who is the number one seed today had a bye straight through to the second round; while there were exits for the likes of Glen Durrant, Max Hopp and Steve Beaton.
