Cross wasn't at his impressive best but did what he had to do against Rowby-John Rodriguez averaging 88 to Rodriguez's 79.7.

Van Gerwen didn't have the best start either averaging 87 in a scrappy battle against Devon Petersen where he edged through 6-3.

Price though continued where he left off yesterday smashing Jonathan Worsley in an all-Welsh battle 6-0. It was a 97 average for 'The Iceman'.

Mensur Suljovic was the most impressive though averaging 107 in smashing Alan Tabern, Gary Anderson also eased through in a potentially tough test against Vincent van der Voort as the big names remain in Dublin.
