The sixteen remaining players will battle on Sunday for the title at the European Darts Matchplay.

In the first match of the afternoon, Raymond van Barneveld will be in action. After his victory over Michael van Gerwen, the 56-year-old from the Hague will face Ryan Searle. If he wins, he will meet Ryan Joyce or Joe Cullen in the last eight.

Dirk van Duijvenbode faces off with Dimitri van den Bergh, the last remaining Belgian competitor in Trier. Further into this quarter are Michael Smith and Josh Rock, who meet in the third match.

Gian van Veen showed Saturday that he is in top form with an average of 114 and a resounding 6-0 victory over Damon Heta. The 21-year-old Dutchman will now play against home player Martin Schindler. Rob Cross and James Wade are Van Veen's possible opponents in the quarterfinals.

Noppert is the fourth Dutchman to appear on the stage. The dart player from Joure will face Nathan Aspinall on the Euro Tour for the fourth time this year. Twice Noppert won, once Aspinall was the best. The last match of the afternoon is between Luke Humphries and Stephen Bunting.
