From Friday, September 12 to Sunday, September 14, the World Series of Darts Finals 2025 is scheduled to be held at AFAS Live, Amsterdam. This tournament is the finale of all World Series of Darts tournaments played over the past year.
After the previous World Series of Darts events, the top eight players are seeded via the Order of Merit. Behind them follow the unseeded participants who made an appearance during the season but did not accumulate enough points to secure seeded status. The remaining spots will be filled by players from the Order of Merit and via the PDC Tour Card Qualifier.
Last year it was Luke Littler who claimed the title. The 18-year-old managed an 11-4 thrashing in the final against Michael Smith, who is not even present this year. 'The Nuke' is one of eight players who have qualified for the quarter-finals this year. Michael van Gerwen is the only remaining Dutchman in the tournament. Find out who will face off Sunday afternoon below.

Josh Rock v Mike De Decker

The afternoon session at AFAS Live will kick off with the duel between Josh Rock and Mike De Decker. Rock has been in excellent form in recent weeks, including two finishes on the European Tour. The now 24-year-old Northern Irishman has long been heralded as one of the absolute top players for the future and now seems to be living up to that role. Earlier this year, he won the World Cup of Darts alongside Daryl Gurney. Rock seems to have been playing on a cloud ever since and is yearning for that first major individual TV title. Is that coming this weekend? If so, he must at least get past Decker in the quarterfinals. 'The Real Deal' finally broke through at the top last year by winning the World Grand Prix. This year he reached the final at the Belgian Darts Open in front of his own people, but after that it was a bit less. De Decker recently indicated that his training efforts in recent months had been insufficient and that he wanted to get back on track for the important majors this fall. With his old flights he seems to take another step forward this weekend, his level in the previous round against Damon Heta was very good. If De Decker manages to show the same level - and maybe even a little better - against Rock, we could be in for a very exciting, high quality match.

Luke Humphries v Michael van Gerwen

Luke Humphries has never advanced beyond the semifinals at the World Series of Darts Finals (in 2023). During the Sunday afternoon session he gets a chance to at least match that performance. For that, 'Cool Hand Luke' has to beat home favorite Michael van Gerwen. Humphries beat another Dutchman in the previous round with Kevin Doets and is slowly getting back to his best form at this tournament. After his final victory in the Premier League Darts at the end of May, Humphries was not doing so well. With Van Gerwen he meets a player who also seems to be getting back to his best form. 'Mighty Mike' already showed signs of improvement in recent weeks, but the regularity in his performance was still missing. This weekend he played - both against Wessel Nijman and Rob Cross - two high class matches, can he continue that against Humphries?

Luke Littler v Ross Smith

Luke Littler started this weekend's World Series of Darts Finals as the defending champion and seems to be well on his way to extending his title. Although his performance was quite modest by his standards - twice averaging around 95 - he never really got into trouble. Littler often gets better as the tournament progresses and there are longer matches. So it is expected that he has saved his best for the final day. 'The Nuke' has already won three major TV tournaments this year with the World Darts Championship, the UK Open and the World Matchplay, so a fourth is certainly a possibility this weekend. In an all-English duel, Littler will take on Ross Smith in the quarterfinals. 'Smudger' defeated Dave Chisnall in the previous round and only just stayed under 100 average in that match. Against Littler, an average of over 100 will probably be needed to stand a chance, but Smith is certainly capable of that. The 36-year-old Englishman won his first major TV title in 2022 with the European Championship and yearns for another triumph.

Gerwyn Price v Chris Dobey

The afternoon session in Amsterdam will be closed by Gerwyn Price and Chris Dobey. Price is having a very good year after a not so good 2024. 'The Iceman' already won four Players Championships this year and was also successful on the European Tour and World Series of Darts. What is still missing is a major TV title and that is what Price has his sights set on this weekend. In the previous round, Raymond van Barneveld did not make it easy for him, but after a strong start by the Dutchman, Price was still able to turn the lopsided situation around to win 6-4. The 40-year-old Welshman can win the World Series of Darts Finals this weekend for a third time in his career, having previously triumphed in 2020 and 2022. In the quarterfinals, Price will take on Dobey. 'Hollywood' has never advanced beyond the quarterfinals at the World Series of Darts, so now he gets another chance to do so. In the previous round, Dobey had no problems with an undersized Cameron Menzies. Dobey himself did not impress either and against Price his level will have to be much better to stand any chance. However, Dobey has proven many times in the past that on a good day he can compete with the very best players in the world, so Price will certainly not take it lightly.
