Price after win over Lewis: "It was dead out there, it's like playing in my kitchen"

Gerwyn Price is through to the third round but had to come through a real scare to open up his PDC World Darts Championship campaign against Jamie Lewis.

Price spoke after defeating his compatriot and admitted it was the case of not being able to get going without a crowd and that it felt like he was playing a Home Tour.

"I don't know I just couldn't get going it was flat and one of those games but I'll put this one behind me, a win's better than a loss I suppose," said Price post match.

"It's a completely different atmosphere, it's dead out there, when we played in the Home Tour, it's like playing in my back kitchen. It's not good but we have to deal with it and it is what it is."

"I just can't get going but other people love it, it's the sort of atmosphere they feed off but it's not for me."

"I'd be happy but at the back of my mind you've just won a Home Tour, that's the way it is, that's the way I think. I'll take the £500,000, I'll take the World Number One but it doesn't feel right."
