Gerwyn Price has been performing better and has also taken steps away from the oche to get himself back to prime condition including a gluten free diet which he said is part of a few he is trying to see if he can establish where swelling is coming from.
"I've done gluten free now for four or five weeks, I certainly think it helps with the mental health and I've done a lot of research on it and thought it was part and parcel of why my hands and feet swell a lot. I'm not sure if that's the reason but at least I'll try and cut down. I'm going to try lactose free now, I'm just trying to find out the root cause of why my hands and feet swell," said Price to Online Darts.
At the exhibition he spoke at, he was also asked about the changes to the
World Cup of Darts which he is a fan of and didn't understand why there was singles games in the first place.
"It's a pairs tournament, I don't understand why there was singles in there. If you're going to have a doubles tournament just play it all the way through. I think the PDC realise that's what people wanted and that's the way it should be, it's going to be interesting to see how the teams play. It'll be better."
He was also asked about him missing European Tour qualifiers with now all four he was due to play in seeing him withdraw and at least for one, other commitments took priority.
"Whether I was in the qualifiers or not, I was missing the Austrian one anyway. Had a couple of exhibitions up in Scotland, I didn't want to hang around for just one qualifier. I didn't realise you had to win two games, when the Premier League is on, it's tough."
