Price blames crowd after losing Queensland Darts Masters to Van Gerwen: "Ruined what could have been a great final"

Like the World Matchplay, Gerwyn Price could not convert his early lead into victory over Michael van Gerwen with 'Mighty Mike' claiming the Queensland Darts Masters 8-5 in the end after initially going 4-1 up.

Price quickly disappeared from the stage afterwards and wasn't involved in the presentation of the trophies. Throughout the tie, he was disgruntled due to whistling from members of the crowd in Townsville as well as seemingly a draught.

Post match, he took to Instagram to voice his frustrations and blame the crowd. "Crowd ruined what could have been a great final, glad they seen two players averaging 85 most of the game. Oh well their loss," he posted.
