The first semi-final at the Danish Darts Open is confirmed with Gerwyn Price set to take on Chris Dobey after two impressive performances to kick off the evening session.
Price hit a 110 average in a superb win; as he built on his form he has shown throughout the tournament so far.
He hit four 180's and 60 percent on the doubles in a 6-1 win as he smashed through 'The Rockstar' who himself didn't play badly with a 93 average but didn't have any answer to the Welshman's superb performance.
It started off level pegging with Cullen setting his stall out early with a brilliant 144 checkout to level it up; but Price started to up his average to 108 and he went 3-1 up from there.
The turning point was a 132 checkout (Bull, Bull, D16) which saw him extend his lead to 4-1; from there he eased through to the tie with Dobey.
Dobey in comparison came through a tough test against Jose de Sousa who has been the stand out performer as such in this tournament.
The Portuguese ace missed match darts in the decider; as he just missed out on reaching the semi-finals on his
European Tour debut.
'Hollywood' started the better of the two claiming an early break with an 86 checkout and a 14 darter to go 2-1 up; but De Sousa came back to make it 2-2 showing the fight he's shown all tournament.
Dobey came back with back-to-back legs to go 4-2 up but once again a 135 checkout on the bull and missed doubles were then pounced on for parity.
De Sousa held throw to make it 5-4 and go one away; but Dobey himself sent it to a decider and like alluded to Jose had the chance to win but on the next attempt, the Bedlington ace hit a double 10 to win through in a tense decider.
