Price hits his highest average to reach third round on second day PDC Summer Series

The standard as usual on the Players Championship series has been in full effect during the opening two days of the PDC Summer Series and Gerwyn Price has added to that during the second round in Milton Keynes.

Price hit an average of 115.6 which is his highest ever average to produce a classy whitewash win over Steve Lennon in his first match of the day. His previous best was 113.80 in Players Championship 25 in Barnsley last year.

He was playing his first game of the day having received a bye due to Eddie Lovely withdrawing this morning.

Ryan Hogarth is en route but 'The Iceman' has used his top seed status to his advantage to set a marker. He hit two 11 darters en route to move into the Last 32.
