Price honest after Van Gerwen final defeat in Minehead: ‘Michael was the better player tonight’

Gerwyn Price played brilliantly again this weekend at the Players Championship Finals but just came up short against Michael van Gerwen.

Price was honest in defeat and said that Van Gerwen deserved to win and as a result he has no complaints.

He praised the crowd also and said that he has had a fantastic weekend in Minehead.

"Michael was the better player tonight," admitted Price. "I've got no complaints, and the opening leg probably set the tone for the match.

"I battled back to get in front but Michael was too strong in the end. I've had another great weekend and the crowd were fantastic, they gave me great support."
