Gerwyn Price and Dave Parletti are the next players to put points on the board at the Grand Slam of Darts after victories over Dimitri van den Bergh and William O'Connor respectively.
Price defeated the Belgian in a 5-2 win which saw him top Group C and as a result send Robert Thornton through as well.
Going into the tie he only needed four legs to secure qualification and started brilliantly smashing in a 110 checkout to go 3-0 up and within a leg of doing so.
He ended up hitting double 18 in the requisite leg to secure it but he began missing match darts en route to an impressive win and Van den Bergh ended up breaking back.
This didn't last long though as 'The Iceman' eased to victory to continue the defence of his title in Wolverhampton.
Parletti on the other hand who has shown glimmers of class without getting the result bowed out with a brilliant win over William O'Connor.
'The Magpie' struggled throughout on doubles with 1/7 allowing Parletti to go 3-1 up and claim a break of throw and he watched as the Surrey ace went one away at 4-1 up.
O'Connor could only get one more leg as the BDO participant claimed victory to put the latter's hopes of qualification on a knife edge.
