Gerwyn Price was automatically qualified for the Euro Tour tournaments each time in recent years because he was in the top-16 of the PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit, but that now seems to be changing.
The Welshman has currently dropped to 13th position. Next weekend, however, he has to defend £25,000 because he managed to win a Euro Tour tournament in 2022 at the end of February. In order not to drop out of the top-16, Price must reach at least the final at the Baltic Sea Darts Open to maintain his position in the top-16. Should that fail, Price will have to play qualifying tournaments to qualify for Euro Tour 5 and 6.
The Pro Tour Order of Merit is a ranking based on performance at Euro Tour and Players Championship tournaments over a one-year period. Luke Humphries currently leads the way due to winning four Euro Tour tournaments in 2022, which he will also have to defend in terms of prize money later this year.
