Gerwyn Price will not be involved again at PDC
Super Series 8 which is due to take place in Barnsley over the next three days.
Price did not play the last
Players Championship events either returning at the World Series of Darts Finals and suffering defeat to eventual champion Jonny Clayton.
The World Number One cited needing family time and a busy schedule as the reason for his withdrawal with the onus over the next few days on last chance qualification for TV tournaments which he of course already has.
He will be replaced by Richard Veenstra in the field this week.
"I've decided to withdraw from this week's Super Series. A very busy schedule coming up and need some overdue time with the family. Will have a nice 11 day break before heading to Wolverhampton for the Grand Slam," said Price in an Instagram story.
