A field of 96 players will compete for the title at the PDC World Youth Championship. The tournament will be played on Sunday, Oct. 9 until the final. The final itself is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 27. The prize pool for this tournament consists of 60,000 pounds.
All participants are guaranteed 250 pounds of prize money. That is the amount players receive when they finish last in the group stage, which consists of 32 groups of three players. The number three in each group will receive 250 pounds.
The number two receives 300 pounds, while the 32 group winners advance to the knockout stage with 500 pounds each. An elimination at the last 16 earns 1,000 pounds, while the eight quarter-finalists are guaranteed 1,600 pounds. For the two losers of the semifinals, checks of 2,500 pounds await.
There are especially nice prizes for the winner and losing finalist. The runner-up receives 5,000 pounds and may participate in the Grand Slam of Darts in 2023. The youth world champion receives 10,000 pounds, may participate in the World Darts Championship and the Grand Slam of Darts.
If the youth world champion has already qualified for Ally Pally by other means, there is an additional spot for Tour Card holders during the PDPA Qualifier on Nov. 29.
