Martin Schindler further up is safe if anyone above him in the standings reaches the final of the World Matchplay; while other runners-up including James Wade and the Irish pairing of William O'Connor and Steve Lennon follow the same rule.

Barring that all of the players below in the top nine are confirmed; with them all claiming titles in the past year or finishing runner-up in big major tournaments.

It will be interesting to see if given the high standard of darts at the minute whether this field remains like below until the event in Aldersley.
