Now that the race to the World Matchplay is close to it's conclusion, the race to the World Grand Prix will be the focus of the players with 12 events till the cut-off.

Two players who have done themselves plenty of favours with their form over the weekend are Jose de Sousa and Dimitri van den Bergh. De Sousa reached the Last 16 and a Final which came after previous Quarter-Final on debut on the European Tour; as well as a Semi-Final last time out in Barnsley.
Van den Bergh who is well-known for producing his best form on the big stage as opposed to the ProTour also had a brilliant weekend and sits 17th in the standings.
He had a Quarter-Final and Semi-Final and if he can continue his form he should get into the World Grand Prix in Dublin. Gabriel Clemens is also looking good with the German Giant in the final qualifying position.
There is still some time left before the cut-off but these three in particular have put themselves in brilliant positions to be involved in September.
