The World Grand Prix begins on Tuesday at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry and Christopher Kempf also known as Ochepedia has put together the players at risk in terms of ranking money.
One player up there is Michael van Gerwen who has 6.14% of his ranking money at risk due to this being the last TV tournament he has won before this year. He has the chance to make some gains but his form as of late means that while his lead will be maintained, Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price will make up ground.
James Wade will return to World Number Seven unless Daryl Gurney can achieve a better result and with the latter defending his Players Championship Finals in November, it is a crucial few months.
Gerwyn Price could become the World Number Two as well if he wins the World Grand Prix while for Simon Whitlock, missing out on this tournament sees him at risk of a bad draw at the World Championship in particular.
James Wilson will lose the most though with 16% of his Order of Merit income going as a result of not qualifying. He will now fall outside of the top 50.
Mensur Suljovic and Adrian Lewis also have a battle on their hands with the former defending semi-finals at the Grand Prix and Grand Slam of Darts. The former will lose 6% of his earnings if he loses out first round and looks set to leave the top 16.
Lewis also if he loses against Chris Dobey could see him relinquish that spot especially if 'Hollywood' reaches the latter stages.
