Reigning champion Price through to second successive World Grand Prix semi-final with commanding win over Chisnall

Gerwyn Price is through to a second successive World Grand Prix semi-final after seeing off Dave Chisnall in a commanding 3-0 win.

Price hit two ton plus checkouts with a high of 104 and punished a poor showing on the doubles from Chisnall with 3/20 hit by the St Helens ace.

He will now face the winner of Ryan Searle or Stephen Bunting in the semi-finals tomorrow.

A brilliant 177 set up saw Price en route to double 20 to go 1-0 up and break. A 75 checkout was missed by Price but with Chisnall unable to take advantage with a 104 checkout, 'The Iceman' consolidated it at 2-0.

Price smashed his dart at double 20 from 76 off the barrel. He busted 40 from there giving Chisnall a second opportunity which he didn't get as Price took it in a clean sweep.

Price was superb to start set two with an 80 checkout on the bull but despite initial break chances going begging, Chisnall's woes on the doubles continued and Price moved one away from a two sets lead.

But Chisnall finally broke back with a 118 checkout to leave the set potentially towards a decider.

Price missed 130 on the bull but two darts went begging on 94. He returned though with two darts not claimed on double 12 and Price was throwing still for the set at the next opportunity.

A 104 checkout on double 20 saw Price take the set.

A 125 checkout saw him slap in two bulls and he was punished as Chisnall held with a 78 checkout.

A 93 checkout saw Price go 1-1 with a 100 checkout following that up as he went one away. Price missed 87 on double five to win but returned due to the 106 being missed by Chisnall and 'The Iceman' surged through.
