Rene Eidams won the seventh tournament of the PDC
Challenge Tour on Friday night. It is the first time for "The Cube" to win a PDC title.
The German managed to reach the final after victories over Ted Evetts (5-4), Andy Boulton (5-4), Jody Tobback (5-2), Franz Roetzsch (5-0), Patrick Peters (5-4), Cam Crabtree (5-4) and Kevin Burness (5-1). Then in the final, Eidams was too strong for Dennie Olde Kalter, 5-4.
The Challenge Tour circuit is open to players who participated in the Q-School but did not win a Tour Card. On this tour, starting tickets for the 2024 Pro Tour and Tour Cards for 2025 and 2026 can be earned. The highest-ranked players on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit are eligible for reserve spots on the Players Championships.
