There are some surprise names and well-known names left in the running for the first two Tour Cards in the UK version of Q-School.
Among the well known names is a player who has mainly been plying his trade on the BDO Tour after falling off the top 64 in the PDC rankings and that is Andy Hamilton.
He is through to the Last 16 after defeating Daniel Lee and will next take on Adam Hunt who conquered Darryl Pilgrim, who had previously defeated Fallon Sherrock.
Steve Brown, who nowadays does most of his work behind the scenes with the JDC was given last minute sponsorship to appear in this alongside his son and it has worked out for him as 'The Bomber' has also moved through.
Danny Lauby, the young American prospect also ended the charge of David Evans in a tight 5-4 victory. Speaking of ending the charge, Lisa Ashton is out losing to Gary Blades 5-2 as is Damon Heta who has been stopped by Tony 'The Bear' Newell.
Finally as well, Alan Tabern continues to roll back the years and prove how good he is and he is also into the latter stages defeating Challenge Tour winner Shaun Carroll 5-3.
