Robert Grundy captured a PDC Tour Card for the first time in his career on Friday. In the second day final at the UK Q-School, he outlasted compatriot Dom Taylor 6-2.
It was a high-class final between the two Englishmen. Grundy threw an average of 105.25 in the final, compared to 104.54 for Taylor. Grundy had earlier in the day defeated James Wilson (6-4), Joe Murnan (6-3), Fallon Sherrock (6-2), Scott Taylor (6-4), James Hurrell (6-5) and Danny Lauby (6-0).
Not only do the four day's winners receive Tour Cards, but also the ten highest-ranked players on the PDC UK Q-School Order of Merit. The virtual top-10 now includes William Borland, James Hurrell, Dom Taylor, Danny Lauby, George Killington, Andy Boulton and Connor Scutt.
