Ross Smith managed to pin a nine-dart finish at Players Championship 18 on Wednesday. It is already his second perfect perfect leg of the season and his sixth in his career.
He threw his nine darter against Dom Taylor in the second round of the eighteenth Players Championship tournament of the season. Having already won the first three legs, Smith started the fourth leg with two 180s. With a 141 finish, "Smudger" concluded the leg in nine arrows.
In the end, Smith would win 6-2 over his compatriot. Moreover, the former European Championship winner recorded an average of 108.53.

- I completely agree with Vincent's comments on "whistlegate". It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. No whistling during throws, and something like: whistlers evicted and fined a hefty sum.
